Terms & Conditions
These terms set out the basis on which we sell to you through jeanandmoon.com. By placing an order you agree to them, so please have a read before you buy.
Last updated: 26/08/26
1. Who we are
jeanandmoon.com is operated by Jean & Moon Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.
- Company number: 14072843
- VAT number: GB 392871752
- Registered office: Oak House, Holyhead Road, Albrighton, Wolverhampton, England, WV7 3AU
- Email: hello@jeanandmoon.com
In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Jean & Moon Ltd. "You" and "your" mean the person placing the order.
2. Using our site
You may browse and buy from our site for your own personal use. You agree not to:
- Use the site for anything unlawful or fraudulent
- Copy, scrape or republish our content, photography or designs
- Attempt to interfere with the site's security or availability
- Place orders using false details or someone else's payment method
You must be at least 18 to place an order.
3. Our products
Every item is handmade and personalised to order, so small variations are normal and are part of what makes each piece individual. Slight differences in colour, grain, positioning or finish between your item and the product photography are not faults.
Colours on your screen may not exactly match the finished product. Measurements shown are approximate and given as a guide.
We can change or withdraw products at any time. Where a product page is clearly wrong — for example an obviously incorrect price — we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than fulfil it.
4. Placing an order
Placing an order is an offer to buy. Our order confirmation email acknowledges receipt but does not form a contract. A contract exists only when we email you to confirm your order has been dispatched, or when we begin making a personalised item — whichever happens first.
We may decline an order if:
- The item is out of stock or the materials are unavailable
- We can't take payment
- There's a pricing or description error
- The personalisation you've asked for breaches section 5
- We suspect fraud
If we decline, we'll tell you and refund anything already paid.
5. Personalisation — your responsibility
Please check your personalisation carefully before you pay. We produce exactly what you submit, including spelling, capitalisation, spacing and punctuation. We don't correct or interpret what you've entered.
We can't accept refunds or replacements for personalisation errors made at checkout. If you spot a mistake, email hello@jeanandmoon.com immediately — if we haven't started making your order we'll amend it free of charge, but we usually begin production within 24 hours.
By submitting personalisation, you confirm you have the right to use it. We won't produce anything that is:
- Offensive, obscene, discriminatory, threatening or defamatory
- Infringing on someone else's trademark, copyright or other rights (including brand names, logos, sports club crests, characters and licensed properties)
- Unlawful in any other way
If we can't fulfil an order for these reasons, we'll contact you to amend it or we'll cancel and refund you. You agree to indemnify us against any claim arising from personalisation content you have supplied.
6. Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery is charged separately and shown at checkout before you pay.
Payment is taken in full at the time of ordering, through the payment providers offered at checkout. We don't store your card details.
We try to keep pricing accurate, but if we discover a genuine error before dispatch we'll contact you to confirm whether you'd like to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
7. Production and delivery
Production times are shown on each product page and are estimates, not guarantees. Delivery estimates are provided by our couriers and don't include the time it takes us to make your order.
- Risk passes to you on delivery
- Ownership passes once we've received payment in full
- We deliver to the address you give us — please check it's correct, as we can't be responsible for orders sent to an address entered incorrectly
- If delivery is delayed by something outside our control, we'll let you know and do what we can to reduce the delay
For seasonal cut-off dates (Christmas in particular), we publish last order dates on the site. Orders placed after a cut-off can't be guaranteed for that date.
8. Returns, refunds and faulty items
Our Returns & Refunds Policy forms part of these terms and explains your rights in full, including:
- Why personalised items are exempt from the standard 14-day cancellation right
- Your 30-day right to reject faulty, damaged or incorrect items under the Consumer Rights Act 2015
- The 14-day cooling-off period for non-personalised items
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
9. Intellectual property
All designs, artwork, photography, text and branding on this site belong to us or our licensors. Buying a product gives you the item itself — it doesn't transfer any rights in the design. You may not reproduce, resell or commercially exploit our designs without written permission.
10. Our liability
We don't exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't lawfully be excluded — including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Subject to that, we're not liable for losses that weren't reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made, and our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it plus delivery.
We supply our products for domestic and private use. We're not liable for business losses such as loss of profit, revenue or business opportunity.
We can't guarantee the site will always be available or error-free.
11. Events outside our control
We're not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control — including courier disruption, extreme weather, supplier failure, power or network outages, fire, flood, industrial action or government restrictions. If such an event occurs we'll contact you as soon as we can, and if the delay is substantial you may cancel affected items for a refund.
12. Your data
We handle personal data in line with our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, why, and your rights under UK GDPR.
13. Complaints
If something's gone wrong, email hello@jeanandmoon.com and we'll try to put it right. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 1–2 working days.
If we can't resolve things between us, you can use the EU/UK online dispute resolution options available to consumers, or seek advice from Citizens Advice.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on our site when you place your order, so please check before ordering.
15. General
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we don't enforce a term straight away, that doesn't mean we've given up the right to do so later.
These terms are between you and us — no one else can enforce them.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
